Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Auragon, a gaming community based in the Netherlands. They cover:

• AuraKitten, our Discord bot, in any server that uses it;
• AuraDash, its dashboard at dashboard.auragon.gg;
• the web casino and other AuraKitten games;
• this website, auragon.gg.

You agree to these terms by using any of them: running a command, taking part in a feature, logging in to AuraDash, or adding AuraKitten to a server or setting it up. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them. Discord’s own terms apply too. How we handle personal data is in our Privacy policy.

AuraKitten is a Discord bot that adds features to a server in modules: moderation (scam, raid and bot protection), a welcome card, XP and levels, Shards ◆ and a shop, quests and Seasons, giveaways, Twitch and YouTube alerts, invite tracking, and voice message transcripts. Some features, such as the web casino, are only offered in the Auragon Discord.

AuraDash is where server staff choose modules and settings, and where members see their own progress.

We keep improving both, so features can change, be paused or be removed. Some features have usage limits, for example on how many voice messages can be transcribed per hour. We may change those limits.

You must meet Discord’s minimum age, which is 13, or 16 where the law of your country requires it, and you must be allowed to use Discord under its terms.

The Auragon Discord server is a separate case: it’s an 18+ community, and you must be 18 or older to join it. That rule comes from the community, not from AuraKitten.

Use AuraKitten, AuraDash and auragon.gg fairly. Don’t:

• break the law, Discord’s terms or a server’s rules with them;
• harass, threaten or scam people, or use AuraKitten to spread spam or harmful content;
• farm XP, Shards or rewards with bots, scripts, alt accounts or fake invites;
• exploit bugs, or keep using one once you’ve found it (please tell us instead);
• try to get around usage limits, access data or servers that aren’t yours, or overload or attack our systems;
• send scam reports you know are false;
• copy or scrape data from AuraKitten or AuraDash, or try to reverse engineer them.

If you add AuraKitten to a server or manage it in AuraDash, you are responsible for how it’s used there. That means:

• You configure it. You choose the modules, channels, roles and settings, including whether moderation only logs or takes action.
• Automated moderation can make mistakes. Sentinel and AuraKitten’s other moderation tools can wrongly time out, quarantine or ban someone, or miss a real threat. Check alerts and undo mistakes.
• You are responsible for actions in your server. Kicks, bans, timeouts and other decisions made by your staff, or by AuraKitten on the settings you chose, are yours. AuraKitten is a tool, not your moderation team.
• Tell your members. Let them know AuraKitten is in the server and link our Privacy policy, for example in your rules channel.
• Use it for the right audience. Don’t switch on features that don’t suit your members, and follow the law that applies to your server.
• Keep permissions sensible. Give AuraKitten only the roles and permissions its features need.

Shards ◆, XP, levels, ranks, quest rewards, shop items, casino winnings and everything else you earn through AuraKitten are virtual. They exist only to make the community more fun.

• They have no monetary value.
• They can’t be bought, and they can’t be sold, traded for money or anything of value, or cashed out.
• They belong to the server they were earned in, not to you. You get a personal right to use them there.
• They can be changed, reset or removed, for example at the start of a Season, when a server’s staff adjust them, to fix a bug, or after abuse.

The web casino and other games only use Shards you’ve earned. You can’t put real money in or take real money out, so it isn’t gambling.

You can support Auragon on Ko-fi. That is a voluntary donation, and as a thank-you you get supporter perks, such as a supporter role and cosmetic extras in the Auragon Discord.

• As a thank-you, supporters receive a one-time Shards ◆ bonus. Giving more doesn’t give more Shards.
• Members who boost a server that uses AuraKitten, such as the Auragon Discord, can get the same kind of one-time thank-you. Boosting is bought from Discord under Discord’s terms; we don’t receive that payment, and extra boosts don’t give more Shards.
• A donation or boost is not a purchase of Shards, XP or any other in-game value. Shards have no monetary value and can’t be bought, sold, traded for money or cashed out.
• Perks can change or end, for example if a feature changes or your support stops.
• Ko-fi handles the payment under its own terms. Donations are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.

There are no paid features today: AuraKitten and AuraDash are free to use. If we offer paid plans later, they’ll come with additional terms that you see and accept before you pay.

AuraKitten runs on Discord and works with services like Twitch, YouTube and Ko-fi. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for them; their own terms apply when you use them. Auragon isn’t endorsed by Riot Games, and AuraKitten’s VALORANT features are currently switched off.

What you post stays yours. By using a feature, you allow us to process what you send to it (a message, an intro post, an image or a voice message) as far as needed to run that feature, as described in our Privacy policy.

AuraKitten, AuraDash, auragon.gg, and the Auragon name, logo and art belong to Auragon. Don’t copy or reuse them without asking.

We may limit, suspend or block a user or a server from AuraKitten or AuraDash, with or without warning, if they break these terms, abuse the service or put other people at risk. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you why. If you think we got it wrong, email [email protected].

You can stop at any time: leave the server, stop using the commands, or, as a server owner, remove AuraKitten. What happens to the data then is in the Privacy policy: a server’s data is deleted 90 days after it removes AuraKitten.

We run AuraKitten and AuraDash with care, but we can’t promise they’ll always be available, fast or free of bugs. They may be down for maintenance, updates or problems outside our control, and data such as progress can be lost. We provide them “as is” and “as available”, without guarantees, as far as the law allows.

To the extent Dutch law allows, Auragon is not liable for:

• indirect damage, such as lost profit or lost data;
• loss of Shards, XP or other virtual items, which have no money value;
• decisions and actions by a server’s staff, including moderation done through AuraKitten on their settings;
• what other people post, or what services we don’t control do.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited under the law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or takes away your mandatory rights as a consumer.

We may change these terms, for example when features change. We update the date at the top, and for important changes we also announce them in the Auragon Discord before they take effect. If you keep using AuraKitten or AuraDash after a change, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, stop using them.

Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you’re a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of your own country’s mandatory law and can go to the courts where you live.
